In April 2009, one Michael Cohen, webmaster of a sensation UFO web tabloid called All News Web on which he propagates his inventions and false UFOs, claimed he has identified where the "Area 51" of China is located. Actually he just used a Chinese web page about China Air Force jet fighters manoeuvers un the area of Chengdu, Sichuan province, to claim that there must be a Chinese "Area 51" in the vicinity. Cohen called this a "ground-breaking article".
To get more attention, he added in April, 27, 2009, that not only did he discover "China's Area 51", but that "further information has been revealed" to confirm it.
As "revealed new information", he put out a "Roswell-like" story saying that on July 18, 1947, near Chengdu, a farmer found "unusual remains of what appeared to be a crashed flying saucer or UFO in the fields." Cohen claims that news spread and locals congregated to see "the bizarre UFO wreckage", and the head of the Physics department of the local university, "Professor Zeng Zhanhan, was asked to analyse the wreckage along with other experts and a report was written up." "The object was declared a UFO." (Saying it is a UFO actually means that it is "unidentified", and the acronym UFO did not exist at the time - this all, among other things, reveals the sillyness of Cohen's invention.)
Cohen claims that military and police force stepped in and informed the academics that the wreckage was merely a weather balloon, that "Professor Zeng Zhanhan was then ‘asked’ to retract his analysis and confirm the object to be a weather balloon. The US military was stationed at the time in Chengdu and it is believed they were involved in this cover-up."
This was then copied up without further verification on some UFO websites such as "Filer's Files" who went as far as to write that the story comes from "declassified files", and the CE3 catalogue by Albert Rosales - though there was not even a tale of "recovered bodies" in the tale.

High StrangenessChina's real Area 51 UFO zone revealedMichael Cohen For years many westerners, especially UFO researchers, have wondered where China's equivalent of the Area-51 in the US is without being able to pinpoint a location. Now thanks to an All News Web exclusive investigation we are able to solve this mystery with a high degree of certainty. Recently this article along with photos appeared in the Govt owned Chinese regional newspaper, Sichuan Daily. The most curious article, titled 'A large number of Air Force SU-30/SU-27 fighters assemble in China's Area 51', refers to an area in the Sichuan province and includes some photos. The article mentions that a large scale gathering and training exercise involving China's hi-tech SU-27 jet-fighters is taking place there at the current time. Strangely, the article does not specify the exact location of this event. Even stranger is the article's lengthy explanation of the original Area 51's alien and UFO connection all while referring to this area as China's equivalent. Thanks to some sharp-eyed local readers, the area has been now been identified as within the Chengdu Military Zone near the city of Chengdu which is the capital of the south-western province of Sichuan. The specific field lies between the Chengdu Military Area Air Force Command headquarters and the Bai Shiyi (White City) Military Airport. Does this represent a leak by the Chinese authorities designed to reveal that they too possess UFO technology? Many will be asking why China is now engaging in these intense military exercises. Others will be asking if there is a connection to this area and the alleged UFO bases high in the Himalayas to its west or if activities here have anything to do with the multitude of mass UFO sightings occurring throughout China. One thing is for certain, China's newly revealed Area 51 probably holds some earth-shattering secrets. |

posted on Apr, 27 2009 @ 04:54 AM Recently All News Web published this ground-breaking article revealing the Chengdu Military Zone as China’s ‘Area 51’. Now further information has been revealed to confirm this to be the case. An event that might well leave UFO researchers pinching themselves has come to light. High strangeness would be the correct term to describe what appears to be a bizarre co-incidence. An incident that almost entirely mirrors the Roswell crash has been unearthed as happening in 1947 on 18 July in Chengdu! On July 18th 1947 a farmer near Chengdu found unusual remains of what appeared to be a crashed flying saucer or UFO in the fields. News spread and locals congregated to see the bizarre UFO wreckage. George Filer indicates that there was a UFO crash in Chine à Chengdu in 1947 revealed in declassified files.
He said All News Web published this ground-breaking article revealing the Chengdu Military Zone as China's "Area 51". Now further information has been revealed to confirm this to be the case. He said Professor Zeng Zhanhan was then "asked" to retract his analysis and confirm the object to be a weather balloon. The US military was stationed at the time in Chengdu and it is believed they were involved in this cover-up. The farmer, other witnesses and the professor were never satisfied with the "weather balloon" theory. Rumors still persist that it was a UFO of alien origin. Since then numerous UFO sightings have taken place in Chengdu. The parallels with the Roswell are obviously striking.

Albert Rosales indicates that in Chengdu, China, on July 18, 1947, maybe in the morning, an incident that almost entirely mirrors the Roswell crash bas been unearthed.

This is just one more invention by Michael Cohen. Let me quote the excellent UFOwatchdog website's page about him:
Cohen is kind of a UFO Gadabout whose never met a UFO he didn’t like. Editor and Board member of All News Web, the world’s first intergalactic news service which is a tabloid UFO site. He churns out very brief articles, often with a prediction and always sensational, about UFO activity around the world. For example, a recent headline was “Amazing UFO Messages Revealed! Enormous effort has been made to decipher these UFO messages with some apparent success. In the US much of this effort centres around NASA’s Ames Research division…” Earlier in 2009 he claimed France would disclose on 6-12-09 from the Toulouse Space Centre:
ver the next few days these events will occur: NASA will finally admit that it has 'some evidence' that aliens might be monitoring earth and that it is seriously researching UFO events. There will be an admittance by another government agency or relevant organization that there is reason to believe that some signals that have been picked up by radio telescope are probably of alien origin. The government of a major European nation will outright admit having knowledge of UFOs visiting our planet. We are living in very exciting times. Yes, many are fearful of what open contact might mean. however others look to the very near future with anticipation and intense curiosity. -- June 6, 2009 from allnewsweb, now erased. The picture above appeared on his site in conjunction with a Chinese report of ‘motherships’ complete with a video of an airplane landing at night, landing lights and wing strobe lights clearly visible.
Cohen never does any research on his articles, never makes an attribution, never names his sources (He says he’s protecting them), never documents any of his statements, never follows through, and his articles never stay up for any length of time. His videos on his YouTube channel frequently show 'UFOs' that are obvious reflections of light in a window or some other fakery. He has even promoted UFO stories as real after the faker acknowledged his stuff as fake. He’s been kicked off more than one UFO site for spamming (He attempts to drive traffic to his web site to get more ‘click throughs.’)
Here’s another great one. He blames the recent Air France crash in the South Atlantic on UFOs: "Let me predict: Sightings of UFOs by will be unprecedented over the next few weeks. We are at a minute to midnight in terms of ending our isolation. Open, unilateral contact is months, weeks, days or even hours away. We are about to meet our universal brethen: are you ready?"

And of course, some ufologists use Michael Cohen's inventions without any verification, without any second thought. This "case" is an example of this.
