July 4, 1947, Tularosa, New Mexico, USA, military personal:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

When he was compilong his catalogue in the 2000's, Albert Rosales cited a story saying that near Tularosa, New Mexico, USA, on July 4, 1947, and an unknown time, close to the eastern border of White Sands missile test range, a large lenticular disc-shaped craft, 99 ft in diameter, with a dome on top and a small rim, crashed.

US radars tracked it for a long time; it was flying very slowly, apparently the pilots died out of decompression - rhere was a small hole in one of the portholes - long before the disk crashed.

Five short aliens, all dead, were found at the site. . The craft was moved to Muroc AFB and later to Wright Patterson and moved to Hangar 18. The aliens were about 1 meter to 1.2 meter tall, of "grey" type with "3 webbed fingers, lizard-like skin, which was originally bluish-gray-green in color but the color was distorted since all were badly charred. Their origin was later established as star MD-5015 on top of Cassiopeia Constellation, 60 light years away. Several other craft from that same civilization have also crashed, says Rosales, telling that his source is Anton Anfalov.

Points to consider:

Here is how this "case" was born. When he was compiling his catalog, Albert Rosales corresponded with Anton Anfalov, a Ukrainian ufologist who was also one of my correspondents. Anton explained to me what seemed obvious to me in thr first place: the cases from the Eastern countries which he communicated to Rosales were not, for him, necessarily "reliable cases", but a compilation of cases published in the UFO sources and the sensation magazines of the Eastern countries he could find, while considering that most of the time they were sensationalistic inventions.

There were also cases of Western countries, like this one. The primary source is obviously not Anton Anfalov, and the primary source is not mentioned in Albert Rosales' summary.

It is quite obvious that this is a simple distortion of a "generic" version of what one calls "the Roswell incident", as published in some Eastern country magazine.

While there is indeed a number of allegations related to this "Roswell incident", as if there were several "crashes" sites in New Mexico around July 1947, this one should not be taken into account. None of the experienced investigators of the Roswell incident ever found any indication that a "crash" with "bodies recovery" had occurred in Tularosa on july 4, 1947. The name of this town probably appeared in the Eastern source because the family of William "Mac" Brazell, the first "discoverer" of alleged debris from an crashed disk near Roswell, was said to have resided in that city; 130 km in straight line in the west-southwest of Roswell. The Army test range of White Sands is about 30 km in straight line in the southwest of Tularosa.

I think the original source was one of the numerous recent Russian sensation magazines:

Such source are used to give unlikely details that betray invention, such as the "3 fingers webbed hands", the "blue grey green" color (what is this color?), the claim of knowledge of the star the aliens came from, something unheard in any other "Roswell witness" report. Senastion authors often just forget some details: not a word here on the alien's clothes, for example.
