ALSACAT-2019-05-25-PFASTATT-1
On May 25, 2019, someone reported to the "OVNI France" website that this night at around 00:55 a.m., he observed numerous bright dots, in a number difficult to estimate but which could be around fifty, forming a perfect straight line and moving along the axis formed by this straight line roughly from west to east.
These dots glowed roughly like the surrounding stars, but were a bit smaller than the stars.
They were very close together overall, with a few dots farther at the back. The witness did not notice any noise, nor any change in direction, speed or intensity.

Department: 68 (Haut-Rhin)

Type of observation: NL: Nocturnal Lights
Approximate duration of the observation: 0 minutes
What was seen: Many bright white dots in line
Description of the facts:
Hello, this night just before one in the morning (Saturday 05/25/2019) I observed very many luminous points (difficult to estimate a number, I would say about fifty) which formed a perfect straight line and moved along the axis formed by this straight line almost from west to east
I would say the dots glowed roughly like the surrounding stars and were a bit smaller than the stars.
They were very close together, with a few dots farther back at the back. I didn't notice any noise, no change in direction, speed or intensity.

Same phenomenon observed on 07/12/2020 on the Marckolsheim > Sélestat road. These are probably the starlink satellites observed at different places on the planet.

Hello, yesterday, 24/12/2019, around 6.30 p.m. in Nice, I witnessed the same phenomenon, for about 5 minutes a good fifty dots of light in the sky, following each other in a perpendicular straight line with a separation between identical points coming from West to East. Anyone have a little more info on this, please?

Good evening I am from the medoc 33180 and we are on 25/12/2019 around 7 p.m. we saw the same phenomenon which seemed very strange to us and we were several to have seen there was an impressive number of light dots on a line in space regular on an axis from west to east, silently.

I saw the same on Thursday 14/11/2019.
The dots formed a straight line.
Three were at least 20 seconds behind the others

We have the same thing the same night in 67. No noise from the light dots which followed each other
"Starlink" is a satellite Internet access program by the American aerospace manufacturer "SpaceX" (Elon Musk) based on the deployment of a constellation of several thousand telecommunications satellites placed in low earth orbit.
The first launches took place in June 2019. As of March 2021, 1385 satellites were in orbit.
The small satellites, after their launch, appear as a line of small luminous dots. As it is unlike anything you would have normally seen in the sky, each launch prompted sighting reports, with witnesses wondering what it could be. Over time, the show no longer surprises many people.
Below: sample video frames of "Starlink" satellites in the sky.
