A 16-year-old young man in Batzendorf in the Bas-Rhin, UFO sightings enthusiast, made his second sighting report to a ufology web forum, nearly three weeks after the reported event.
He said that on October 7, 2015, at 09:59 p.m. or about 09:50 p.m., he was in his bedroom dreaming about future model kits and his college degree, staring out the window with his Xperia E mobile phone camera in the hand just in case, when he saw suddenly saw in the dark, moving slowly in the sky, a white ball of light that was flashing very irregularly.
He watched it for 3 minutes; then it suddenly disappeared. He does not know what it was, but he is sure it is not something natural.
He indicates in the fields of the report form that the sky was clear, that he did not file an official report, that the phenomenon size was about 9 meters, the speed of 10 kph, the movement in a straight line, there was no specific noise or odor, and he is not aware of the wind direction.
A photo of the "thing" is published, visible below in this case file. It shows only a few pixels of something white, not allowing a sure identification.
On request of a clarification about the trajectory - angular directions and heights of the start and end - he said that it has to wait the next Sunday because he is on vacation and not at home, adding that he has a sketch and a video that he was unable to upload to the forum. He did not communicate anything more later on.

The "thing" on the photograph is not recognizable per se, being made of only few pixels that may be distorted by a camera move or long exposure:
The International Space Station (ISS) is observable from mainland France to the naked eye. It is possible to observe one to five passages each night.
On October 7, 2015, the ISS was passing over Alsace at 09:31 p.m.. This is not the curiously precise time of "9:59 p.m." given by the witness, but he also wrote that it was at "about 9:50 p.m." Can we really be sure that the witness checked the time on a watch? He files his story almost three weeks after the observation. Finally, it must be noted that Aurelian, who ways he is a UFO sightings buff, and is only 16-year-old, had already filed a sighting report on the same web forum the previous year, and the forum analysts had found it difficult to assess due to lack of information and lack of reliability.
