ALSACAT-2013-08-06-SOUFFELWEYERSHEIM-1
The SPICA Alsatian ufology group published on their website this witness report for a sighting in on Souffelweyersheim, on August 6, 2013:
"Last night around 11:30 p.m. I heard a fighter plane pass by (I live in souffelweyersheim) , I went outside and after 5 minutes I could see a white point identical to a satellite looping on 90 degrees, quite far, and I still saw it despite the turn. The aircraft went away and I heard it turn. All of a sudden and not very far (almost above my head),this white pint is back but more intense make a turn fast enough and go off all of a sudden. The aircraft was always circling with all lights off and I could see it when he switched on its pst-combustion (flames of the jet engine.) The carousel had lasted at least half an hour or even three quarters of an hour, I called my friend and could observe 1 to 2 minutes again this white point far enough on a straight line again and make a turn and dissapear. The plane on his side continued over our heads for at least 5 minutes and finished. Maneuvers with 2 planes or not? What intrigues me is really that fixed white point not blinking (just like a satellite), so it if it was a navigation flight, once it started the turn that light would not stay fixed?,and I would maybe have seen the orange color of the jet engine.Well if you have an explanation or other witnesses from the same place... Anyways, congratulations for your organization and your website, see you soon maybe."

A helicopter? One or more Chinese lanterns? Something else? It is quite impossible for now to assess what it could have been, as there is no quantitative information such as headings, bearings, elevations, angular speeds, etc.
Insufficient data, low strangeness.
