ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

In May 2003, the "France-OVNI" website stated a resident of Andolsheim had reported observing in the first week of May 2003, a bright object of silvery white color.

The witness told it flew at about 2000 meters of altitude, made no noise, and made two passes in the sky "at quite a speed."

The website asked other potential witnesses to contact them.

In the beginning of this month, an inhabitant of the city of Andolsheim (68280) in Alsace observed a white-colored object, shiny, silver.

It was flying at about 2000 m altitude noiselessly and made two passes in the sky at high speed.

Discussion:

In May 2003, I published in the "News" section of my website this call to witness by France-OVNI [of1], adding my email address and stating that I can also be contacted, being of the region. But it did not happen. The "News" was copied later by "OVNI-INFO" [oio1].

As there is no precise date, no observation hour, and with "Andolsheim" as supposed place of observation, it would be difficult for readers to know what other sighting would confirm this one.

The lack of information, the few details given, suggest that it could have been a high-flying plane.

Evaluation:
