ALSACAT-1996-00-00-BELMONT-1
On November 20, 2016, Fabien, living in Alsace, wrote to the ufology association SPICA that he made an observation around 1996 in Belmont, Bas-Rhin.
He had just seen the weekend before November 20, 2016, a TV show on the regional channel FR3; of which he does not remember the title. It was about "the strange". What motivated him to watch this show and then to write to SPICA was not the subject in itself, but the geographical situation concordant between that of his residence at the time of his own observation, and that of the sighting narrated in the show, at the Donon Pass.
He was touched by the testimony on television of this other Alsatian, whose name he does not remember. Himself, about 10 years ago, lived in Belmont, a small village below the Champs du Feu. Like on all nice summer evenings, he was sitting near the village hall with a male friend and a female friend.
He does not remember the time, but it was late, when they saw an orange ball above the mountain, arriving very quickly from left to right, stopping and then climbing vertically, making zigzags, to disappear as quickly as it had arrived.
It only lasted a few seconds. They were two to have seen it.
So he was surprised to learn 10 years later by the TV show that someone else had seen the same thing in more detail.

Hello,
My name is Fabien and I lives in Alsace.
I saw this weekend a broadcast on France 3 [State TV channel] I do not remember the title but it forces me to write this mail to you today.
Though the "weird" topic is not the first reason that made me watch this show it was rather the same geographical location as my home and the place of the live broadcast (Donon), I remain today troubled by the testimony of another Alsatian (which I do not remember the name). About roughly 10 years ago, i lived in Belmont, a small village located below the Champs du Feu. Like on any fine evenings of the summer I was sitting near the town party hall with my friends. We were 3 that night: me and a male and female friend. I do not remember the time but it was late when we saw an orange ball above the mountain, arrive very quickly from left to right to stop and then climb vertically and make zigs zags to disappear as quickly as it had arrived. this lasted only a few seconds. we are 2 who saw it, removing the doubts of allucination and what a surprise to hear today someone seeing the same thing years later and in more details.
I am writing you to help you in your research even if I do not have more precision but I think it important to say that this has already been seen 10 years be fore and this man who testified be assured he is not not the only one to have seen this thing .... this will reassure him about his mental health and this reassures me on mine....
