ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Case of Strasbourg, on April 18, 1990:

Case number:

ALSACAT-1990-04-18-STRASBOURG-1

Summary:

In a listing of UFO sighting reports in the Haut-Rhin on their website, the Alsatian ufology association SPICA noted circa 2015 that on Wednesday, April 18, 1990, at 08:45 p.m. in Strasbourg, a "ball, balloon or melon (3D)" of green color had been seen, and that the case is solved: it was a meteor.

A US catalog on the web, for his part, said for this case that at 08:50 p.m. two witnesses had observed three lights for more than a minute.

Another US source says the source is the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit #302 of March / April 1990.
