Unsolved -lack of info |
I recall that it is not possible to give a reliable distance with the naked eye for an object whose nature and therefore the actual size is unknown, seen against the background of the sky without a landmark providing a maximal distance.
If I understand correctly, at night, the person saw in the sky an object which he gives absolutely no description, moving silently or not in straight and this over a duration that may be of only 15 seconds.
It could have been almost anything: an airplane, a meteor, a bird, a flying saucer, what do I know?
To be fair, I admit that 30 meters is within the range of stereoscopic vision and that the person was certainly puzzled enough to report it, so a trivial explanation is not necessarily the correct one.
Low strangeness, insufficient information.
