In the 1970s, French ufologist Michel Jeantheau had transcribed a number of newspaper articles relating to the 1954 French wave. One of his transcripts was from the local newspaper L'Armentiérois, on page 1 for October 30, 1954, according to which in the Vienne department, a motorist dazzled by a "flying saucer" had struck a tree and had been seriously injured.
[Ref. mjt1:] MICHEL JEANTHEAU:
Weekly newspaper "L'ARMENTIEROIS" (ARMENTIERES,59)
Saturday 10/30/1954,p.I: VARIOUS EVENTS
In the Vienne, a motorist dazzled by a "flying saucer" hits a tree and is seriously injured.
Totally insufficient information.
As I did not find any other source of the time or other source relating to this incident which should logically have had much press coverage, I do not exclude that the incident was invented by a journalist.
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Vienne, car, single, accident, blinding, saucer
