In an article for the US Fate magazine in August 1957, pioneering ufologist Aimé Michel mentioned several sightings from after July 24, 1954, some of which can be dated to August by other sources. One of the places Michel mentioned was Dijon.
Michel said that only the local newspapers had mentioned these observations preceding the "wave" itself.
In the "Worldwide Catalog of Sightings", compiled by Mr. Pasqualini and published in the ufology bulletin GEPO Informations No. 16 in 1979, there is a sighting noted for August 1954, unknown hour, in Dijon.
[Ref. aml2:] AIME MICHEL:
But during the days that followed [July 24, 1954] similar observations [as the sighting in Talence] were made at [... other cases...] Dijon, [... other cases...] and other places. The remarkable thing was that only the local papers made mention of these sightings. As a consequence the witnesses had no way of knowing that other persons in other places were having the same experiences.
