By 2016, a German ufological database, "UFO-Datenbank", lists a case in Brest on 7 November 1954, without any other information.
In November 1954, the magazine L'Astronomie published an article about a phenomenon that had taken place in Cherbourg in April 1905, a phenomenon explained as a mistake caused by Venus.
But the magazine had mistaken the place, setting the case at Brest instead of Cherbourg. Was "UFO-Datenbank" fed by misunderstood information - language barrier - changing the date of publication of the magazine to a date of observation? I have no proof of this; but I have so far had no other mention of an observation at Brest on or around November 7, 1954.

But the magazine is mistaken and puts the sighting in Brest instead of Cherbourg. Was "UFO-Datenbank" been fed by misunderstood information - language barrier - changing the date of publication of the magaine into a date of observation? I have no proof of this; but I find absolutely no other mention of an observation in Brest on 7 November 1954 or around that date or "07/11/1954" or "11/07/1954" for example.
