In a catalog of observations in Drôme and Ardèche departments published in their newsletter U.F.O. Informations of the 2nd quarter of 1982, the AAMT ("Association des Amis de Marc Thirouin") indicated that Mr. Pierre Bouvard, of Valence, had written by letter that on October 31, 1954, at 18:30 p.m., in Montmeyran, he was with his brother-in-law in the cemetery where they had arranged the flowers.
Looking up, he saw in the sky, at dusk, a large orange light heading eastward, going west to east.
He had alerted his brother-in-law, who just had time to see it, the crossing of the sky by this object having been very fast, done in about 8 seconds.
