Reference for this case: 2-Oct-54-Maisoncelles-en-Brie.

Summary:

Aimé Michel reported in his 1958 book on the 1954 French wave that there was a sighting on October 2, 1954, in France at the Maisoncelles aerodrome near Paris.

The case will appear in other publications, but it is possible that it is in fact the case of September 30, 1954, known as Quincy-Voisins, in the same sector.

[Ref. pis1:] "PHENOMENES INCONNUS" UFOLOGY BULLETIN:

This ufology bulletin indicated that there was a case on October 2, 1954, in "Maisoncelles-les-Rousses"; which was a part of a "network" of aligned cases of that day, in their opinion.

[Ref. pis2:] "PHENOMENES INCONNUS" UFOLOGY BULLETIN:

In this ufology bulletin, Alain Barbe published a map with cases (but not all the 61 cases or more) for October 2, 1954, including that of Maisoncelles, which he, like Aimé Michel did, thooght to often be "aligned" beyond mere chance:

This Italian ufologist wrote an article to refute the claims by ufologists Gérard Barthel and Jacques Brucker in their book "La Grande Peur Martienne" on the French wave of 1954, and provides examples of what he denounces as fraudulent or unjustified explanations they gave for cases, such as:

Cet ufologue italien a écrit un article pour réfuter les allégations par les ufologues Gérard Barthel et Jacques Brucker dans leur livre "La Grande Peur Martienne" sur la vague française de 1954, et fournit des exemples de ce qu'il dénonce comme explications frauduleuses ou injustifiées qu'ils ont donné à des cas, comme:

Explanations:

Carte.

Possible confusion with another case, dated September 30, 1954, located generally as "along the Coulommiers-Meaux road, not far from the Quincy-Voisins airfield", but with several alleged witnesses.

The aerodrome is certainly the airfield (not an airport) of Coulommiers-Voisins, 2 km south of Maisoncelles-en-Brie.
