The ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit of October 1973 published in a catalogue of the 1954 sighting reports in the Allier department, about an observation reported in the Centre-Matin newspaper for December 3, 1954:

At 08:30 pm, in Bourbon-l'Archambault, an orange-colored object arrived slowly from the south-west, stopped for a moment, turned around and appeared in the shape of a cigar, which disappeared in the clouds.

The same month the Ouranos ufology magazine published the same information, only adding that the craft was cresent-shaped when it arrived.
