October 28, 1954, Chatel-Blanc, Doubs:

Reference for this case: 28-Oct-54-Châtel-Blanc.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

In the 1990's, ufologist and author Jean Sider learned by an article from the newspaper La République, of Besancon, in the issue for November 4, 1954, that in the night from the 28th to the 29th of October 29, 1954, in Châtel-Blanc, close to Pontarlier in the department of the Doubs, Miss Marie Thérèse Bourgeois was busy inspecting her cattle shed, when, as she went outside she saw an odd gleam in the sky.

After taking a few steps outside, she clearly noticed a very enlightened strange object which prepared to land. The apparatus evolved at a hundred of meters of the village, and descended in zigzags to come to land at less than 50 meters of the cheese dairy.

After a few seconds all the lights were off. Miss Bourgeois did not think of calling her neighbors, nor to await the takeoff of the mysterious machine.
