Summary:

François Diolez of the ufology group Cercle Vosgien Lumières Dans la Nuit compiled in November 1984 a catalogue of case in the Vosges, with the assistance of François Lagarde.

The catalogue indicates that in Nomexy, on Tuesday, January 26, 1954 an an hour not indicated, André Oulot and Lucien Thouvenin were witnesses of an observation reported in an article of the newspaper La Liberté de l'Est for January 28, 1954, of which the ufologist sais he provides the full text:

"Two young people living the same building Misters André OULOT and Lucien THOUVENIN have, too, also the same day, seen a great gleam which moved at an extreme speed in the same direction. No noise was perceived."

The author of the catalogue comments on that it is perhaps the same phenomenon as in Thaon, a sighting at 04:45 a.m., of an object coming from the East.

What was not noticed and was perhaps also the same phenomenon is that a meteor passed, widely seen in the nearby Côte-d'Or department, at 04:50 a.m.
