According to the 1979 book by Figuet and Ruchon, the newspaper La Montagne for October 28, 1954, reported that on October 25, 1954, at 06:30 a.m., in Varennes-sur-Tèche in the department of Allier, a round, silver-colored craft passed through the sky fast, an intermittent light emanating from it.

The two authors indicate that in Varennes-sur-Tèche in the department of Allier, on October 25, 1954 at 06:30 of the morning, a machine of round shape, of silver plated color was observed; it crossed the sky quickly.
They indicate as source the newspaper "La Montagne" for October 28, 1954.

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Allier in "Varennes sur tèche" on October 25, 1954, at 06:30 hours, "Observation of a machine of round form, silver color crossing the sky quickly. An intermittent light emanated from the apparatus."
