Summary:

The newspaper La Suisse for September 24, 1954, reported in its Jura column that on the night of September 23, 1954, Mr. and Mrs. Périat, mechanics "in our town", had seen a flying disc resembling a "luminous sun" used on August 1, placed horizontally. The "trustworthy" witnesses had said that the saucer was flying at the speed of a jet plane and had disappeared towards the southwest after having flown over Porrentruy.

IN THE JURA

A FLYING SAUCER!

PORRENTRUY, 24 (C.P.) -- Mr. and Mrs. Périat, mechanic in our city, state to have seen in the night of Monday, a flying disc resembling a "luminous sun" [like those] used at the 1st of August, placed horizontally. The witnesses, worthy of faith, say that the saucer flew at the speed of a jet airplane and disappeared towards the south-west after having flown over Porrentruy.
