The newspaper La Suisse for September 24, 1954, reported in its Jura column that on the night of September 23, 1954, Mr. and Mrs. Périat, a mechanic "in our town", had seen a flying disc resembling a "luminous sun" used on August 1, placed horizontally. The "trustwothy" witnesses had said that the saucer was flying at the speed of a jet plane and had disappeared towards the southwest after having flown over Porrentruy.
