Summary:

The regional newspaper Nord Littoral, of Calais, reported on page 6 for October 23, 1954:

Mr. Queval Albert, butcher at Nordausques, was returning by car from Mortleulignhem to Nordausques, at midnight 20, Wednesday October 20. Suddenly, at the top of the great hill which descends on Nordausques, Mr. Queval saw in the fields three blue spherical objects which moved rapidly one meter from the ground. Sometimes they would go out and then reappear further with their blue lights. Mr. Queval, who had stopped his car, then left for Nordausques, but found, given the late hour, no one awake who could have returned with him to the place where these three objects were moving. It was only the next day that he had to tell his friends and what he had seen. Is this curious phenomenon a saucer? Did other curious people see it?

Also on October 23, 1954, the report also appeared in the local issue for Saint-Omer of the regional newspaper La Voix du Nord:

Wednesday 20, at twenty past midnight, Mr. Queval Albert, butcher in Nordausques, was returning by car from Nortleulinghem, via the national road 43, returning to his home. Suddenly, on emerging at Liéberg, M. Queval saw in the fields, near the beet tipper, three blue spherical objects which were moving rapidly at one meter above the ground.

Mr. Queval, who had stopped his car, then returned to Nordausques but, given the late hour, found nobody awaken who could have returned with him to the places where these objects were moving. It was only the next day that he told his friends what he had seen. In any case, Mr. Queval seems very sincere in his story.

In the 1990's, French ufologist and author Jean Sider indicated he discovered a case of October 21, 00:20, between Nortleulinghem and Nordausques, in the department of the Pas-de-Calais, in an article of the newspaper Nord-Littoral for October 23, 1954:

Albert Queval, butcher in Nordausques, was returning to his place by car when suddenly, at the top of the large hillside which goes down towards Nordausques, he saw three blue spherical objects which moved quickly at one meter above the ground. Sometimes they died out and then re-ignited further.

We received the following letter from Mr. Serge Gamblin, residing in the hamlet of Bilques, in Helfaut, by Wizernes:

"I have the honor to inform you that Monday evening, returning from Blendecques professional lessons with a friend, around 08:45 p.m., I saw in front of the Avot co, a big light. And we saw, high in the sky a luminous object, having the shape of an orange cigar which was heading towards Heurlinghem. Two other people also saw it. This craft was going fast; it went out almost immediately."
