The regional newspaper La Résistance de l'Ouest, of Nantes, reported on October 5, 1954, that "on Friday evening", so on October 1, 1954, three hunters who had operated in the region of Maubreuil, on the way back, had seen in the center of a thicket a curious and voluminous mass of slightly rounded form.
Driven by their curiosity, they decided to go to the place to see what it was, and they were crossing fields when suddenly, before their dumbfounded eyes, "the craft" rose silently and "dove a very high vertical". At about fifty meters, "the vertiginous craft was colored dark pink to finally move towards Nantes and disappear from their eyes at very high altitude."
The three hunters "kept on walking, but unfortunately did not find anything to notice or find in the thicket."

Friday evening, three hunters which had operated in the area of Maubreuil, on the way of the return, saw in the center of a thicket a strange and bulky mass of slightly rounded shape. Pushed by their curiosity, they decided on a commun ground to go on the spot to see what it was. They thus went with heavy walk through the fields when suddenly, in their amazed eyes, the machine rose silently and took a very high vertical dive, while at about fifty meters the vertiginous apparatus took a dark pink color to finally take the direction towards Nantes and disappear from their sight at very high altitude. The three hunters continued to walk but were not, alas, to raise any element of appreciation nor of notice in the thicket.
