[Ref. jsr1:] JEAN SIDER:
Jean Sider found this case by an article of the newspaper Le Quotidien de Haute-Loire for October 24, 1954. He gives the contents of it as follows.
On October 19, 1954 at 08:45 P.M., Jean Peyrard drove a of delivery truck, returning from Bourg-Argental, being between Four and Robert near Saint-Didier-in-Velay in the Haute-Loire.
There, he saw a flame of approximately one meter passing in front of his truck.
At the same time, the engine of his truck as well as the truck's lighting stopped dead.
He got out of his truck and did not find anything abnormal, and little after, the headlights re-ignited but only for one short moment.
Four to five minutes later, the truck's lighting and engine started to function gain as before this incident.
Jean Sider provides the account by the newspaper as:

His engine stopped short, as well as his headlights. He went down from his cabin and did not find anything abnormal with his vehicle. A little later, his lighting functioned again for a short duration. Four or five minutes later, the engine and the headlights start again to function normally. It is possible that the witness "Jean Peyrard" is also the author of the book "Histoire Secrète de l'Auvergne", 1974, and the book "Le Triangle de Burle" published in 1987 then reprinted in 2007 by Créer publishers, France, arguing that there is a kind of "Bermuda Triangle" between Puy-en-Velay, the Pilate Mount and the Mezenc Mount with the reason, inter alia, that many planes allegedly crashed there and numerous UFOs were reportedly sighted there.
