A catalog published in the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit in October 1973 indicates that the newspaper Centre-Matin for October 19, 1954, had reported one - or two - observations in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule that occurred at the dawn of October 17, 1954:
"Three little luminous balls were seen before sunrise."
And:
"The witness busy milking his cows saw a large, gloomy, indistinct, elongated form appear at a low altitude, which swept across the sky, causing panic among the animals, shaving the trees, and the cows refused to give the milk that day."
[Ref. ldl1:] UFOLOGY MAGAZINE "LUMIERES DANS LA NUIT":

Three small, luminous balls were seen before sunrise.

[Ref. ous1] UFOLOGY MAGAZINE "OURANOS":
17/10/1954 Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule (Aube).
Three small luminous balls were observed in themorning just before sunrise. (Centre Matin for 10/19/1954).
The report is quite unclear and poor - was this one or two reports? Actually, the second part in [ldl1] is likely the sighting in Domérat on October 11, 1954.
I have no ordinary explanation for this, but this is because the report is too sparse.
