A listing by ufologist Jacques Vallée, in 1966, indicated without other information that there was a sighting on October 15, 1954, in Gien, France.

A US website in the 2000's said that it was at 08:30 p.m., and that an "unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One object was observed by one witness on a highway."
