In 1966, ufologist Jacques Vallée indicated that on August 12, 1954, in "Précy-sur-Thil" (actually Précy-sous-Thil) in the department of Côte-d'Or, a brilliant moving by jerks and letting appear a trail was seen.
Vallée indicated no source, and I found nothing else about this for now.

[Ref. lgs1:] LOREN GROSS:
UFO researcher/author Jacques Vallee noted a marked increase in French activity as early as August 11th when reports came in from eastern France at the towns of Serezin, Remiremont, Contrexéville and Gerardmer. And on the 12th, an object spewing a smoke trail and flying with a jerky motion was visible above Precy-sur-Thil. 195.

And: "An unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One shiny disc was observed by three witnesses for five minutes."

Plane? Distorted meteor report?
Jacques Vallée writes "Précy-sur-Thil" but it is Précy-sous-Thil. The hour given by [uda1] is likely completely invented.
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Précy-sous-Thil, Précy-sur-Thil, Côte-d'Or, trail, tail, shining, jerks, moving, object
