In the 1950s, Guy Quincy, a French archivist interested in the topic of t the "flying saucers", compiled a catalog of sightings, without sources or details; he noted the observation of a "luminous sphere" on October 11, 1954 at an unknown hours in Montluçon in the department of Allier.
