Hello,

Obersavtion of one or sevreal unidentified flying objects.
Places of the observation : Cahors (46)
approximate date: Winter 1990
hour : in the beginning of the evening
witness : my brother

As we are on board our vehicle near the Cabessut bridge in Cahors, our attention was caught by a stange flying object. We stopped the car and went outside. An unspecified mass moved at low speed while following a rectilinear trajectory which seemed to fly at approximately 200 or 300 meters. I remember I was struck by the size of this flying "mass". I was unable to determine itss size but I have in my memory the thought that the size was that of a soccer field. Many lights were apparent on the totality of the periphery of this mass, like spots of multiple colors. Private pilot and aviation buff I know that they were not side-lights. From this flying mass a gentle and continuous noise emanated but which did not resemble at all that of an engine, of a turbine or piston engine, not even the sound generated by helicopter blades.

Explanation considered: given that the facts are concomittants with the first war of the Gulf, I initially thought that it could be a a flight in foramtion (very tight) of several F117 stealth fighters. But why would they have flown so low, all fires lit, and at such a low speed. In addition, a few days later, the GEPAN made appear in the news a call to witness about similar facts having been observed on most of the metropolis. I did not answer this call for two reasons. First I had been just been [Suppressed] from [Foreign country] ([Suppressed] during 56 days), for this reason I had been the subject of the "headline" of the local newspaper and I did not wish that one thinks that I sought an "opportunity" to make speak about me again... The second reason is that [Suppressed] had an important position within the C.N.E.S. in Toulouse and that he personally knew Mr. VELASCO, former GEPAN responsible. I did not want that my testimony could in a way or another "interfere" with his professional career.

Former member of the military (warrant officer) under contract, then in charge of safety in diplomatic circles ([3 foreign countries]), I am not easily impressed by an unusual situation. Quite to the contrary, I try to comprehend this kind of situation calmsly and with an analytical mind. However, I have to say that that day there, I do not know what I saw...
