Subject: Ufo 'incident ' at RAF Cosford Dec.1963 Dear Sir, I spotted your site whilst actually looking for something else related to aviation. What interests me was that I was based at Cosford Jan.1963 - Jul.1964. I was an RAF Boy Entrant training to be a telegraphist. I never heard anything about this 'incident' but have passed it on to a friend of mine who also trained with me. I did however in the 1980's observe a bright glowing sphere from my back garden late one afternoon. A friend of my parents standing with me (a WW2 Spitfire & Hurricane pilot) also observed the object (about 5 miles away). Both of us being ex RAF could not come up with any explanation whatsoever. I telephoned the MOD the next day who put me through to the 'UFO' section who took down my observations and said they would call back. They eventually did later in the day stating it was space vehicle debris burning up in the atmosphere, but it certainly didn't look anything like that to us. |
