UFOs Again?

A Mysterious Light Seen in the Sky of Charente-Maritime

"SUD-OUEST DIMANCHE" from the 16th and "Sud-Ouest", in its editions of December 17 and 18, reported the statements of two Charente residents, Mr. Arnaud from Rochefort and Mr. Boutin from Royan, who had observed a luminous craft in the sky of Charente-Maritime on Thursday, December 15.

This luminous craft seemed to emerge from the ocean at an incredible speed.

A similar phenomenon was observed again on the night of Friday to Saturday. Here is what Mr. Rémi Bordoux, who lives on Chemin des Moulins in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, told us:

"Around 7 a.m., while I was awake, I saw a very intense glow passing in front of my shutters. I immediately thought of a car, but since the shutters were closed, it was impossible for such a tubular light to reflect on them. However, this phenomenon, which remained visible as it moved away, lasted about three minutes each time. I opened my window, and then I saw, on the ocean horizon, in the direction of Oléron Island, a blue light beam rising into the sky. It seemed to illuminate several kilometers away.

Dr. Florentin, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Jean-Luc, who were with him, also saw this glow. He, too, noticed this light that lit up the entire region."

On Saturday morning, Mr. Bordoux, who lives on an elevated area overlooking the entire Côte de Beauté, met two other people in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, Mr. Read, a restaurant owner, and Mr. Besson (Colette’s father), a taxi driver, who also saw this extraordinary phenomenon.

So, it was neither a hallucination nor a hoax. Something definitely happened on the night of Friday to Saturday, and these six people are certainly not the only ones who witnessed it. But what was it?

Raymond Coynault.
