A top-secret film made nearly fifty years ago by the US military showing "a dead alien" will be shown in Britain this summer to an international audience of UFO enthusiasts. The 91-minute film was shot in 1947 in the New Mexico desert by members of the US Air Force after a flying saucer crash. At one point, the film shows scientists performing an autopsy on a dead "creature" believed to be an alien. Another section of the film, shot in black and white and on 16mm, shows debris from the saucer, which is said to have been made of indestructible material. The screening will take place in August at the University of Sheffield in the north, as part of a two-day conference expected to bring together some 500 UFO experts from around the world.
