The article below was published in the daily newspaper Le Parisien Libéré, France, on July 23, 1993.
Since the beginning of June, traces have appeared in fields in the suburbs of Paris, particularly in the Essonne and the Seine et Marne. It seems that the phenomenon of "crop circles" is finding imitators in France. Obviously, these large-scale drawings are pale copies of the famous English circles, but then, UFO or hoax? In any case, the figure discovered in Itteville (above) appears to be the work of merry pranksters close to UFO circles, it seems [*]. As proof, a piece of string and a piece of wood were found nearby.
[*] Investigating ufologists noticed that the crop circle imitated the famous alleged flying saucer trace of Marliens, (holes in the ground): hence the idea that the crop circle was made by people more or less familiar with ufology.
