UFOs in the daily Press:

UFOs in Canada, 1967:

The article below was published in the daily newspaper Le Journal de Montréal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on April 15, 1967.

In Orsainville, twelve people reportedly saw a flying saucer

Quebec (DNC). -- At least twelve people witnessed, late Thursday evening, in Orsainville, a suburb of Quebec City, a phenomenon that, like many others of its kind, remains inexplicable for the moment.

These people were able to observe for about half an hour an enormous red disk of elongated shape, luminescent, and whose size reached, at certain times, that of half a family house. The object remained stationary for a long time in the dark sky at an altitude estimated at 500 or 600 feet. Then it suddenly started to move and it shot off like a meteor and disappeared.

In Laurier and Lévis

In the last few days, several apparitions of this kind were reported in the Quebec City region in the middle of the night. Near Laurier Station, (25 miles from Quebec City) a trucker saw an object like a flying saucer in the sky in the middle of the night, on March 31. The same evening, two citizens of Lévis claimed to have seen a strange object flying over Quebec City.

Nothing official

Yesterday, a representative of our newspaper contacted the Orsainville police who told us that they were not aware of this affair and had not received any report about the appearance of flying saucers in Orsainville.
