All the corresponding Project Blue Book cases files mention a "possible balloon", or a "possible aircraft" as explanation of these footage even when their conviction was other wise, and even when independent military or scientific efforts have challenged commonplace explanations.
OREGON 1964:This vidéo appeared on the Internet circa 2000 with the caption "Filmed in May 1964 by Dr Daniel Freyer Rocketage from Marilyn in Oregon USA. The unusual saucer shaped object can clearly be seen hovering silently in full daylight at what appears to be two separate locations on the clip." There was little more information. Eventually, I discovered that "Daniel Freyer Rocketage" was actually the alleged contactee Daniel Fry, who took a few photographes and 16 mm films of alleged flying saucers, and that Project Blue Book established that they were all fake. On at least one of the footage, a string was visible. |

ARIZONA 1953:Recorded by a gun camera on an in-flight USAF aircraft. The filmed craft seems to be leaving a tail somewhat similar to a meteor or comet, however, the dark "head" of the object is consistent with neither. This type of footage was commonly mentioned at the time. It has even been suggested that the USAF should deliberately try to film UFOs this way to gain more knowledge about them and a project to regularly equip their aircraft merely for these types of search and film purposes was defined, and dropped, unfortunately. |

THE TREMONTON MOVIE, UTAH 1952:When a Warrant Officer and Navy photographer named Delbert C. Newhouse and his wife were driving along a road seven miles from Tremonton and spotted a formation of brilliant metallic looking disc shaped objects, clear against a bright blue sky, you have an interesting sighting report by a qualified, reliable and educated observer. When this Officer has the chance to use a 16mm camera and telephoto lens to shoot forty feet of film of the objects maneuvering, and submits it to Project Bluebook for evaluation, and when it is studied for three months at the Photo Reconnaissance Laboratory of the Air Force Intelligence, and when the conclusion convince the head of project Bluebook that it does show unearthly flying machines, you have more than a good sighting report. When the Bluebook team feels it is evidence of the reality of UFOs as extraterrestrial craft, and feels a scientific team should be gathered to look at the evidence, you may hope that this evidence will be made public. But if this scientific panel is set up by the CIA, then the film becomes merely evidence of... birds. Here is the fully documented story. |

MONTANA 1950:The film was taken on August 15, 1950, by Nicolas Mariana, general manager of the Great Falls "Selectrics" baseball team. This film was listed as Top Secret and, although now declassified, is still considered an "unknown". Note that in government "releases" (National Archives, etc.) the distant objects in the frames almost don't show up. However, even the TNT versions show that the objects were clearly visible and oval-shaped, especially in the early footage. And the evidence strongly suggests that what Mariana has told us for a long time is true, much of the early footage was apparently removed by the Air Force. Here is my case directory on this exceptionnal footage that even puzzled the anti-UFO Condon Committee. |

MONTANA 1950:A different video edition of the above footage by Nicolas Mariana in Great Falls, Montana. The footage was actually included in several TV documentary after it was declassified. |

MONTANA 1950:Obviously there is more footage. Here is a "second film" I located, with a label "Montana" on it. Did I find again the images suppressed by the Air Force? Is it an edited version mixing two different parts of the film for comparison? Or mixing two different footage, such as aircraft reflections footage? |

UTAH 1952:Another film for which I lack precise information. It is allegedly also from Utah, July 2nd, 1952, but I suspect this is a confusion with the Tremonton movie. The film shows a cluster of unknown objects hovering in clear view in the daytime sky, and some of the objects seem to be surimposed. I strongly feel that the film is an edited version showing the objects in the Montana and the Tremonton films for comparison, something which was indeed done at the Robertson Panel. |
