UFOs in the Eastern Countries:

The February 2003 article in "Komsomolskaia Pravda":

The following article has been published in the Komsomolskaia Pravda, and on their web site at http://www.kp.ru/daily/22966/1452/ on February 4, 2003.

Komsomolskaia Pravda was then the official publication for the Communist Youth in the USSR. It managed to keep a serious editorial line after the dissolution of USSR and the forming of the Republic of Russia.

KGB opened his secrets on UFOs

"Komsomolskaia Pravda" succeeded in getting knowledge of the contents of the famous "dark blue package of the KGB" where sensational accounts on visits to the Earth by unidentified flying objects.

On October, 24, 1991, the then president of the Union of the Ufological Associations, sent the "dark blue package from the KGB" to the USSR pilot - cosmonaut Pavel Popovich. The covering letter was attached to the package:

"Committee of State Security of the USSR, 24.10.91, ref. number 1953/III, to comrade Popovich.

Dear Pavel Romanovich

The committee of state security is not engaged in regular gathering and the analysis of the information on the abnormal phenomena (the so-called unidentified flying objects). At the same time in KGB of the USSR the information on cases of supervision of such phenomena arrives from the various organizations and citizens. We direct you a copy of appropriate materials. The vice-president of Committee N. A.Sham."

Then, 124 pages of the printed text: official reports, explanatory notes, reports. Their authors - basically military personnel. So they cannot be mystifications and hoaxes. And who would start to joke with the powerful Lubjankoj?

The majority of the documents of the "dark blue package" will be issued in "Komsomolkaia Pravda" for the first time.

The mysterious disk with a hemisphere "took pictures" of missiles warehouses

This accident took place on July, 28, 1989 in the area of the second military region (that is, at 45 and 30 kilometers west and east of the city of Kapustin Jar in the Astrakhan region). Many parts in the documents are blacked out, but identifications of the operational security remains: one of then, the "transmission center," the second - "the liquidation station" (most likely, head parts of ballistic missiles with a nuclear charge).

From the report of the operative of KGB:

"I Report, that in the period from 10:10 P.M. on July, 28, 1989 till 01:30 A.M. on July, 29, 1989, military personnel (from this point on we shall put "[...]" where the original text has been blacked out.) MO USSR v/ch [...], Kapustin Jar in the area of Astrakhan observed unidentified flying objects. Military personnel of the transmitting center observed at the same time three objects at a distance of 3 - 5 kilometers. Military personnel of the liquidation station which is at a distance of about 15 kilometers from PDRTS, saw UFO from 11:30 P.M till 01:30 A.M. at distances ranging from several kilometers to 300 meters."

The interview logs of eyewitnesses coincide. The UFO had the appearance of a disk with a diameter of 4 - 5 meters with a dome at the top of. It shined brightly, moved very sharply, but silently, sometimes falling and hanging above the ground at a height of 20 - 60 meters. Command [...] it was caused from an army part [...] a fighter plane, but the UFO could not be observed in detail because it did not let the plane come too close, escaping it."

Further official reports of military personnel seeing the UFOs follow in the "dark blue package."ഀ ഀ

"I, ensign Voloshin Valery Nikolaevich, report, that in July, 23.20 28, being on change standby on communication(in connection with), have received the information that above V/CH [...] Durin more than an hour the unfathomable object, which captain Chernikov named "flying plate" was hovering. At about 11:30 P.M., with the private D.N. Tishchaevym I went on the first compartment of the antenna tower, 6 meters above the ground. From a side [...] Some object flew in our direction. Tishchaev has confirmed that he saw it.

"In the night sky the blinking powerful signal reminding of a flashlight was clearly seen. The object flew above a part-time farm (at about 5 kilometers of the observation place) and took the direction of the rocket weapons warehouses (at about 300 meters from the place of observation). Having flown up to the weapons warehouses, the object hovered above them, at a height of about 20 meters. Flashes on it were not periodic as though it was taking photographs. In the night sky its silhouette could be seen, and its entire body radiated a dim - green light similar to the luminescence of phosphorus in the dark."

"The object appeared as a disk with a dome at the top. Diameter of the disk about 4 - 5 meters. After the object lowered above the weapon warehouses, from the place where the flash sparkled, a spectacular beam of light was run on a circle was highlighted, having snatched out the edge of one of the buildings. I observed two - three coils of a beam which was clearly seen on the background of the sky and started from object, however I have not noticed a light stain on the buildings and on the ground."

"The beam moved some seconds and then was gone, and the object, continuing to blink, went aside to an inhabited zone. After that it hung above an auxiliary farm, crossing the base in zh/d, and a concrete factory. Then the object once again returned to the weapon warehouses hovered above them at a height of about 60 - 70 meters. At 01:30 A.M. it departed aside. It disapeared from sight at Ahtubinska. The displacement of the object were non-uniform: sometimes fast lateral or vertical, at times smooth with lags."

And the report from private Tishchaeva Dmitry Nikolaevicha, which observed the UFO with binoculars with ensign Voloshinym:

"The object did not make any noise. Once it had become self-luminous, it was something like a convex lamp, and small lights on all side."

Senior Lieutenant Klimenko writes in the official report that "the object issued flashes similar to those of electric welding."

The witness of the private soldier Kulik: "the luminous object had the shape of a cigar. Having left on a considerable distance, it stopped, and from the ground to it the fiery sphere at which it was difficult to look because dazzling fire began to rise. Then the sphere lowered, and the object began to move to the southwest, blinking with various colors. The most interesting was, when it had rushed to us. Its proximity was felt even physically because its speed was huge, but then it had sharply stopped. The fiery sphere in the south again tried to rise from the ground, but and has not risen."

So, there are already two UFOs. The first which flied above confidential military installations, and the second, "in the south," which "wanted to rise, but could not"...

(To be followed.)

Firsthand

The pilot - cosmonaut, twice the Hero of Soviet Union, the general - major of aircraft Pavel POPOVICH: "I saw UFO only once."

"I remember this story. I sent and inquiry in KGB, the answer all over again has not been received, it came much later. At that time I was the president of the Union of the Ufology Associations, but after four year I left. Time did not suffice, and the squabbles that had begun between ufologists was not pleasant."

"I saw a UFO only once. It was in a plane which flew from Moscow to Washington. Suddenly in our field of vision, a luminous triangle had appeared. For some time it flew near our plane at a speed of about 1000 kilometers per hours, and then without any efforts it went forward and was gone."

UFO above Khabarovsk were thrown up with a flame

Businessman Jury Maljarchuk did not at all scheduled to tape a mysterious object on videocamera, but his dear mother-in-law who had come to Khabarovsk for an anniversary. He lead his family on the street, placed them with the church in the background, raised his videocamera - and suddenly his son shouted:

"Look! The plane is falling!"

During 18 seconds the Maljarchukov family observed how a silver sphere object which threw tqo flames flew in the sky above the dome of the church. The flight was absolutely silent, did not change neither the form of "escape", nor reduced its angle as a heavenly body does. The object went down at an angle about 30 degrees, and disappeared behind trees on the benchcoast of river Amur.

Businessman Jury Marchenko, who has a physicist education, showed the video recording to colleagues - three doctors in Physics. They were left in opinion that the optical effect of this phenomenon was impossible to hoax.
