UFO interception attempt in USSR, 1990:

Interest:

This is a bulletin of the FBIS (Foreign Broadcast Information Service), i.e. a news bulletin from the US intelligence about events in foreign countries - generally USSR - of US Defense interest.

First we are told that a Soviet magazine echoed an article from AVIATION WEEKLY in connection with UFOS moving at high speed observed in the Nevada skes on October 28, 1990. The Russian article suggests that they were secret US aircraft, adding that they would be similar to those observed flying at Mach 10 (!) in Soviet Union, the later being silent, also capable of hovering, and equiped with unusual lights.

The second part of the FBIS is about an article of the same Soviet magazin, in October 20, 1990, in connection with the detection of a UFO by Soviet radar prompting an interception attempt by a Soviet fighter pilot October 8, 1990. The pilot saw two cigar shaped objects, one behind the other, the first was two kilometers long, the other 400 meters long. The radar indicated that the pilot was at about 15 km of the objects. When the pilot wanted to close in on them, they escaped from his sight while remaining visible on the airborne radar screen.
