The Corriere del Giorno newspaper for December 14, 1978, reportedly told that on December 13, 1978, in the evening, two airmen on guard duty at the air force base, distant one from the other of a hundred meters, saw a flying object of various colors, which produced an "intermittent green and orange light" and performed "maneuvers and jumps".

The two men also said they saw at little distance a "being, wrapped in a coat, as it rose from ground and disappeared".

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that at the Brindisi Air Force Base, Italy, on December 13, 1978, at 1830, soon after two motorway watchers saw a luminous mass descend close to the ground and take off at high speed towards Puglia, two soldiers on watch at the Air Force Base saw an object with pulsating lights maneuvering and hovering near them. As the object left, a strange undescribed being shot up from the ground skywards quickly disappearing from sight.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Edoardo Russo."
