SEPTEMBER 1978, MOLD-DENBIGH, DENBIGHSHIRE, U-K., THREE PEOPLE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The Below cases are from the files of one of the original UFO researchers David Webb:

[... other cases ...]

[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:

The website indicates that in early September 1978, in the evening, in Mold, U-K., there was a "close encounter with a an unidentified craft and its occupants by three witnesses, one named Leslie."

The sources are indicated as "Webb, David, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports".

Points to consider:

I found no information on any CE3 that would be a sure match with sources [ar1] and [ud1].

The closest is a report by Gary Heseltine, a constable with the British Police intesrested in UFO matters, who built a catalogue of sightings by policemen [gh1]. He indicates that in October - not September - 1978 in Denbigh, Police constable Neville Hughes and two uniformed colleagues (one of who was a sergeant) observed a UFO whilst on duty in the grounds of North Wales Hospital in Denbigh. He says the source is FSR Vol 25 No 2 Mar/Apr 79.

There is no mention of occupants.

Maybe, just maybe, this is the case that David Webb listed, wrongly or righty thinking there were occupants involved.

Of course, there is so little information that a precise evaluation is impossible for now.
