SUMMER 1965, OMAHA, NEBRASKA, USA, A FAMILY:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

A ufology booklet apparently tells of a case in Omaha, Nebraska, on summer 1965, at 01:00 a.m. or 02:00 a.m..

A family was driving in their pickup truck near Omaha and the stockyards saw three beings race across the road in front of them. The third stopped right in the road and they were going to hit it. It made a huge bounding 30 to 40 feet leap from the Interstate and over a fence.

The entities were described as small with large heads and eyes, no hair and very pale looking.

The stepfather was an ex-FBI man and wanted to stop to investigate, but the mother was afraid and refused. Later that morning they heard a radio report about some cattle found dead in the Omaha stockyards and the father then remarked, "Well, they probably dissected them to see what they're composed of."

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Omaha, Nebraska, on summer 1965, at 01:00 a.m. or 02:00 a.m., a family was driving in their camper (a pickup truck) near Omaha and the stockyards. Three beings raced across the road in front of them. The third stopped right in the road and they were going to hit it. It made a huge bounding thirty- to forty-foot leap from the Interstate and over a fence. The entities were small with large heads and eyes, no hair and very pale looking. The stepfather was an ex-FBI man and wanted to stop to investigate, but the mother said, "No. No. Let's get the hell out of here." Later that morning they heard a radio report that some cattle had been found dead in the Omaha stockyards. The father then remarked, "Well, they probably dissected them to see what they're composed of."

Albert Rosales indicates as source Michael D. Swords, "Grassroots UFOs", and asks "Have earth scientists dissected alien humanoid beings, to see ‘what are they composed of'."

Points to consider:

I am at loss finding a commonplace explanation for these entities that would match the description; the closest would be three escaped kangaroos.

The report is however of unknown origin and might be less than reliable; there was probably never any investigation or checking.
