NOVEMBER 1965, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, USA, TWO YOUNG MEN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Someone told ufologist Robert Gribble apparently in the seventies, that in Seattle, Washington, on November 1965, at 1 a.m. two young men in the northern section of the city noticed an intense light coming from their backyard.

Going out to investigate, they saw an oval object about 15 feet in diameter, sitting between their house and the neighboring one, about 6 feet away from them.

A seven-foot tall humanoid creature was standing beside the craft, pounding against the side of the house. Allegedly unable to wake their parents, one of the boys suggested communicating with the tall humanoid through telepathy. After setting up some sort of mental Morse code that somehow made the object respond by increasing its humming sound, the witnesses communicated for about an hour.

The humanoid finally re-entered the object and it left, not before telling the boys that he would return someday. A month later, at the site of the landing an unnamed investigator allegedly found "a strong magnetic distortion" using a compass.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Seattle, Washington, on November 1965, at 01:00 a.m. two young men in the northern section of the city noticed an intense light coming from their backyard. Going out to investigate they saw an oval object about 15 ft in diameter, sitting between their house and the neighboring one, about 6 feet away from them. A seven-foot tall humanoid creature was standing beside the craft, pounding against the side of the house. Unable to wake their parents, one of the boys suggested communicating with the tall humanoid through telepathy. After setting up a sort of mental Morse code that somehow made the object respond by increasing its humming sound, the witnesses communicated for about an hour. The humanoid finally re-entered the object and left, not before telling the boys that he would return someday. A month later at the site of the landing an investigator using a compass found a strong magnetic distortion.

Albert Rosales indicates as source "Robert J Gribble APRG Journal", and comments that unfortunately there are no details as to what was allegedly communicated between the witnesses and the alien. It is important to note that the following case occurred around the same time.

Points to consider:

Robert Gribble became interested in ufology in 1955 and founded the Aerial Phenomena Research Group (APRG); which circulated a newsletter detailing new cases. In late 1974, he founded a Phenomena Research Reporting Center where people could report their sightings by letter or phone. It was then called the UFO Reporting Center or UFO Central then it became internationally known as the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), www.nuforc.org, now continued by ufologist Peter Davenport.

This tells the likely nature of the unlikely story: the record of a phone or letter record, without follow-up or investigation.
