SEPTEMBER 21, 1965, DERBY, DERBYSHIRE, U-K., BARRY SWAN, KEITH ROWLAND:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

In a November 1965 article for the Flying Saucer Review, Charles Bowen reported that in Derby, Derbyshire, U-K., on September 21, 1965, at 09:30 p.m., Barry Swan and Keith Rowland were walking along a footpath when they heard a whining noise. They looked up and saw two round objects in the sky.

One of the object came down toward them and they could see that it had a round base and a diamond shaped top, with green-lighted windows around the circumference.

A shadow passed across one of the windows as the object hovered, spinning on its axis. Then the object tilted on one side, then the other, and departed silently.

One of them came down toward the witnesses and they could see that it had a round base and a diamond shaped top, with green-lighted windows around the circumference. [Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:

The website indicates that on September 21, 1965, at 21:30, in Derby, UK, there was a close encounter with a an unidentified craft and its occupants, at close range, observed by two witnesses at a lane.

Points to consider:

As the case stands, it seems that the story might be nothing more than something picked up by by Charles Bowen, perhaps in the press, perhaps by letter, noted in sighting reports section of the Flying Saucer Review, without follow-up investigation. In result, nothing makes it possible to be certain that it was not a pure fabrication.
