BEGINNING OR FEBRUARY 1965, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA, HARVEY KECK:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Ufology catalogues noted that according to a newspaper, one Harvey Keck reported that close to Chicago, Illinois, at the beginning of February 1965, walking along the shore of Lake Michigan at sunrise, he saw a saucer, approximately 6 feet high, resting on four feet.

Close to the saucer was a "5-foot-tall robot or being", stocky, said to be similar to the entity reported by John Reeves shortly before in Florida. The entity had a tanned skin, eyes abnormally set apart, a pointed chin. Its head was in a transparent helmet described as being like a fishbowl.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Chicago, Illinois, on early February 1965, at dawn, walking along the shore of Lake Michigan about sunrise, Harvey Keck saw a saucer about 6 ft high resting on a 4-legged landing gear. Near it was a 5 ft "robot or being, stocky in build and similar to the entity reported by Reeves in Florida;" the being's skin was tanned, eyes set far apart, and he had a pointed chin. His head was encased in a glass-domed helmet.

Albert Rosales indicates as source Humcat quoting Newspaper source.

[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:

The website indicates that in early February 1965, at 06:30 a.m., in Chicago, Illinois, USA, walking along the shoreline, males witness H. Keck saw a 6 feet high saucer resting on four legs. Nearby was a 5 feet tall being or robot, wearing a silver and fishbowl helmet, stocky, with eyes far apart, pointed chin, like Reeves saw on 3/2/65. There were four 6 inches imprints.

The source is indicated as Webb, David, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports; Newspaper Clippings.

Points to consider:

It seems that Harvey Keck stated that his entity was similar to the one reported shortly before by John Reeves. The report by John Reeves was a hoax; that of Harvey Keck can very well be a hoax too, be inspired by the precedent.

The report is very poor in information, the witness age is unknown, we know nothing about him, fundamental data such as the distance of observation or visibility conditions are not given. It seems that the story is only a newspaper story, form an unspecified newspaper, without any checking or investigation.
