JANUARY 1965, SAN RAFAEL, MENDOZA, ARGENTINA, PEOPLE:
Brief summary of the event and follow-up:
British ufologist Gordon Creighton mentioned that in January 1965, in the Andes, Argentina, it was reported that an object bad fallen from the sky at San Rafael, 4 kilometres from San Miguel, and a photograph of it later appeared in the Flying Saucer Review for May / June 1965.
The object, whatever it was, was reportedly subsequently removed by the Argentine Air Force.

British ufologist Gordon Creighton indicates that in January 1965, in the Andes, Argentina, it was reported that an object bad fallen from the sky at San Rafael, 4 kilometres from San Miguel, and a photograph of it later appeared in the Flying Saucer Review for May / June 1965. The object, whatever it was, was subsequently removed by the Argentine Air Force.
Most people thought it was a satellite of some kind, but a few inhabitants of the area were convinced that it was a UFO and several said they had seen small individuals near the object who wore "strange divers' suits" which gave off a greenish phosphorescence.
Gordon Creighton specifies that "the case is therefore listed here for the record."
Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in San Miguel, Andes, Argentina, on January 1965, at an unknown time, it was reported that an object had fallen from the sky at San Rafael, 4 kilometers fro San Miguel, and a photograph of it appeared later in FSR May/June 1965. The Argentine Air Force subsequently removed the object, whatever it was. Most folk thought it was a satellite of some kind, but a few inhabitants of the area where convinced that it was a UFO and several said they had seen small individuals, near the object, that wore "strange diver's suits" which gave off a greenish phosphorescence.
Albert Rosales indicates as source "Hanlon, The Humanoids".
Points to consider:
Contrary to his habit in the rest of his article, Gordon Creighton does not give any source here, and seems cautious as of the veracity of the story of the "little men."
With no sources, no exact date, no witnesses names, and very little information, the case does not look too good to me.
