Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Apparently someone reported in 2003 to the "your report" section of the paranormal section of the website about.com that in Lisbon, Ohio, USA, in the Summer of 1930, in the afternoon, as a young person, he was walking home through the woods coming back from a local swimming hole.

On the path, he suddenly encountered several whitish "creatures" that appeared like "scrambled" or "running around" on and with each other. They did not seem to have any facial features and did not even seem to notice the witness as he stood there watching.

He then proceeded to walk his way out around them and continued on. He said the only thing he could compare them to were the "Shmoos" from the "Lil Abner" cartoon strip.
