ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Case in Alsace, maybe in 2010:

Case number:

ALSACAT-2010-00-00-ALSACE-1

Summary:

On September 3, 2010, Christian Macé published on his "UFO Paranormal" blog two photographs said to have been taken in Alsace in a church, on two dates different unspecified dates; which according to Christian Macé are "orbs UFO".

He had received them by e-mail from one "Baron Rouge", who indicated that when he took pictures - visible below in this file - he had seen nothing and that when he took the second picture, he had "tried on the spot not to lift dust remaining in the stairway leading to the underside of the roof."

These pictires of ORBS ufos taken in a church in Alsace

These photos of ORBS ufos taken in a church in Alsace, on different dates. The Friend Baron Rouge has just sent us these two pictures of ORBS he has taken, and to whom we send our warmest thanks...:

Here the two pictures at different dates of the ORBS taken by Baron Rouge. From the top, the 1st and the 2nd photo

Here is an excerpt from the email of Baron Rouge:

"... When taking photos nothing apparent. Regarding the 2nd, I tried on the spot not to lift dust remaining in the stairs leading to the underside of the roof. One can distinguish like an iridescent reflection.

The mystery remains, Regards.

We did not mention here the dates, the exact place and the name of the person to remain discreet.

Discussion:

This is obviously neither extraterrestrial craft nor anything paranormal. There is no mystery that remains here.

The photos are taken with the flash on, the flash illuminates either dust, water droplet, insects, or portions of cobwebs, and the light is diffracted into these photographic artefacts called "orbs". The photographer seems half aware of the nature of these things since he ensures that when taking the second image, he tried to avoid lifting dust. Thi was rather vain, the dust floats naturally and easily in the air without anyone's action.

This so-called "orbs" phenomenon is perfectly explained for more than a decase, for example in my page about it. Such photos are easy to reproduce on your own, in an attic, or using a vaporizer, and using the flash of the digital camera.

Evaluation:

Photographic artefact.
