ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

BARTENHEIM (68) Wednesday, August 11, 2004

Source: SPICA

I've seen this craft before going to bed, the lights looked like a plane but the planes have above and below strobes and lights on the sides of the wings, but this craft had lights that went from left to right and the color werent like on an airplane.

Orange, red, white. Its altitude of about 500m to 1500 m.

Discussion:

Map.

Understandably, someone was intrigued by something, but there is not even an hour of observation; and of course neither duration nor direction nor angular sizes nor elevation, we do not know if the thing was making noise or not, etc.

So I can only note that the location is known for numerous "UFOs" that were actually airplanes from the nearby airport.

Map.

Evaluation:

Insufficient information, possible airplane.
