ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Discussion:

Map.

The UFOs move "from the Graffenstaden forest" thus from the Southeast (That forest is 10 km away from the witnesses) "to the EDF plant on the Rhine" thus still in the Southeast but more to the East then "turn around and go South."

Visually, from the witnesses position, they appeared in the Southeast, moved a little to the east, then went back to the South-East but mot to the West than the place where they were first seen.

As there is absolutely no useful detail, the things being described only as "six luminous spots," it could have been airplanes, helicopters, ot whatever. The strangeness of this case leaves much to be desired with the little information provided, and Charles Garreau gives no source that may have yielded more information.

And all this being reported by "young girls", maybe very young.

Evaluation:

Possible planes or helicopters, insufficient information, no strangeness.
