ACUFO:

ACUFO is my comprehensive catalogue of cases of encounters between aircraft and UFOs, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ACUFO catalogue is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file.

Pushkino, Russia, in September 1943:

Case number:

ACUFO-1943-09-00-PUSHKINO-1

Summary:

In the 1968 book "Platillos Volantes en Iberoamerica y España" by the Spanish ufologist Antonio Ribera, there is apparently information indicating that in September 1943, during an aerial battle between the Germans and the Russians, a member of the Spanish "Azul" Division fighting with the Germans near Puskhino, outside of St. Petersburg, Russia, had noticed a disk-shaped object above the planes, which appeared to be observing the battle, then "disappeared" at a "fantastic speed."

The Frenchman Jean Bastide specified in the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit No. 204 of April 1981 that the witness soldiers included Jesus Arias, from Asturias, Mr. Paz, from Galicia, and Tomas Carbonell, from Alicante.

The author indicates that in September 1943, a disc-shaped UFO was observed near Pushkino in the U.S.S.R. by Spanish volunteers from the Azul Division who fought with the Germans on the German-Russian front. While they were in a fort, sheltering from an aerial battle between German and Soviet aircraft, soldiers Jesus Aria, Paz and Tomas Carbonell noticed a discoidal object flying over the surroundings, a bit as if they were spectators of the aerial fight, and which disappeared "at fantastic speed".

[Ref. ynd1:] YVES NAUD:

The Second World War, if we are to believe certain accounts, seems to have fascinated the extra-terrestrials.

Thus, the Spanish volunteers of the Azul division who were fighting in the German ranks on the Eastern Front, noticed during an aerial duel a disc-shaped object "which overlooks the planes in the middle of the fight, like if it was "monitoring the battle," said a witness. And, adds the latter, it "disappeared at fantastic speed".

Carte.

The illustrious Spanish researcher Antonio Ribera was able to collect the observation made in September 1943, at Pushkino (30 km N E of Moscow), by soldiers of the Spanish "Azul" division, including MM. Jesus Arias (from Asturias), Paz (from Galicia), and Tomas Carbonell (from Alicante). a disk flies over Russian and German planes in aerial combat, and flies at fantastic speed. (16)

Not having the primary source at hand so far, I can only assume that it did not provide more information, and that in this case, this information is insufficient.
