In the 2000's, Albert Rosales compiled a catalogue of about 12000 cases of “close encounters of the third kind”, i.e., UFO sighting reports in which occupants of the ufo were reported.
He noted in his catalogue that in 1943, at an unknown time, on the English Channel, four “ferry” pilots flying a Mosquito to a Royal Air Force airfield on the east coast of England, observed a strange object accompanying their plane over the Channel. It is said that it was “a streamlined cigar about three times the length of a flying fortress and without any apparent joints or rivets.” It had “a glazed nose, with two men in shining metallic suits visible inside.”
It is said that after flying alongside them for some time, it tilted upward and climbed almost vertically.
Albert Rosales indicates that this was published in Queensland UFO for July - September 1963.

This author indicates that in 1943, at an unknown precise date, on the Channel, on the coast of England, four pilots who were flying to an air base on the east coast of England, observed a strange object which accompanied their aircraft above the English Channel. It was cigar-shaped, three times the size of a “flying fortress”, and had no visible joints or rivets. Its front was transparent like glass.
There were two men inside, wearing outfits that were the color of shiny metal. After flying with the English aircraft, the machine began to climb and flew away almost vertically.
The author indicates as sources “Rosales, according to Queensland UFO, 3rd quarter 1963”.
He comments that he would have preferred a reliable English source rather than an obscure Australian bulletin practically unknown to French ufologists, and that he delivers this case “with reservations.”
The de Havilland DH.98 “Mosquito” was a British multirole aircraft, which served as a fighter-bomber, torpedo bomber and reconnaissance aircraft with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The code name for these missions was “Bluestocking”.
Its armament was 4 7.62 mm Browning machine guns and 4 20 mm Hispano cannons.
Its pilot and its navigator were seated side by side, the navigator being shifted back about thirty centimeters for shoulder width.

The Queensland UFO ufology bulletin did exist; but I do not have a copy of the relevant issue.
There is no exact date, no unit number, no witness name, no reference to a contemporary source.
A big problem with the report is that the De Havilland “Mosquito” had a crew of two, a pilot and a navigator, sitting side by side. A single passenger could ride in the aircraft's bomb bay when necessary, but it seems there was no way that a Mosquito would carry 4 people.
So, I do not think that the credicility of the report is established.
