The regional newspaper Le Bien Public for October 8, 1954, reported, without giving the date and time, among sightings from October 4, 5, and 7, 1954, that a shopkeeper from Corbigny, who was hanging laundry in her garden, observed a luminous craft in the shape of an elongated cigar, yellowish-green in color, bearing two round discs on its lower part.

Chaumont, October 7. -- Mr. André Narcy, 48 years old, a road worker in Mertrud (Haute-Marne), was on his way to work on his motorcycle yesterday morning when, near Voillecomte, he noticed an orange-colored object in a field. As he approached, he realized he was in the presence of an unknown craft. The road worker stopped his motorcycle and, on foot, got within about a hundred meters of the object. It was then that he saw a small being nearby, about 1.20 meters tall, dressed in a fur-covered cloak. Mr. Narcy was very frightened and lay down on the ground. Then he called out to the figure. The being, after turning toward him, rushed into the craft, which immediately took off vertically and disappeared into the clouds.
According to Mr. Narcy, the craft was spherical in shape, about ten meters in diameter. Under the sphere was a kind of spindle, and the porthole through which the being entered was located right between the spindle and the body of the craft. As it departed, a kind of flame came out of the spindle while a large vaporous swirl occurred beneath the object.
Mr. Narcy immediately went to work, where he recounted his experience to his colleagues. With two of them, Mr. Riel and Mr. Henry, he returned to the site and found that the dew had disappeared from a certain area. The grass had a slightly milky tint and was flattened in a square of about three meters on each side. Additionally, twelve parallel marks resembling round footprints were spaced out over a distance, suggesting that the craft had landed with a series of small bounces.
Nevers (C.P.). -- After Château-Chinon, it's Corbigny's turn to be featured in the flying saucer reports.
An employee of a state administration observed a large luminous disc, yellow or orange in color, moving at a dizzying speed, trailing behind it a blinding white light, comparable to the flame of an oxyacetylene welding torch.
Meanwhile, while hanging laundry in her garden, a shopkeeper in Corbigny saw a luminous craft shaped like an elongated cigar, bearing two round discs on its underside. The object was a yellowish-green color.
The craft rose toward the sky, where it disappeared, shrinking as if fading out.
Limoges, October 7. -- A farmer from Chaleix (Dordogne), Mr. Garreau, swore on his honor that he saw a "flying soup tureen" land on his property. Mr. Garreau stated that two perfectly normal men, dressed in khaki coveralls, got out, shook his hand, and spoke to him in an unknown language. Mr. Garreau, stunned, did not respond. The two men petted his dog and got back into their craft, which took off silently at a dizzying speed.
At the location indicated by Mr. Garreau, it was observed that the grass had been trampled.

The strangeness would lie in the indicated shape, but it could be explained as a meteor with two smaller fragments beneath it.
The information, however, is incomplete (date, time, etc.), which does not allow for a reliable assessment.
