Summary:

In articles of the 1950s and 1960s, ufologist Aimé Michel presented the case of Cuisy on October 9, 1954; and he indicated that the object seen at Cuisy had left the Cuisy area in a southwesterly direction, and therefore had to cross Route Rationale 2 at rush hour.

He said he had learned that a mysterious celestial object had actually crossed the road, "which was apparently at the origin of a series of engine failures that caused a big traffic jam south of Dammartin-en-Goele. A number of motorists had seen the celestial object."

Reports:

[Ref. aml3:] AIME MICHEL:

[...] For the public, I do not say in his majority, but really in its unanimity, including almost the totality of the witnesses, refused to believe in the flying saucers.

"- I do not know what your nuts tell you, told me for example a mechanic whose car had been stopped, engine blocked and headlights extinguished, on a small road close to Dammartin-en-Goële, and, I, I do not buy these cock-and-bull stories." [...]

[Ref. lgs1:] LOREN GROSS:

Michel ended his interview and reflected on the men's testimony. If the object had left the Cuisy area in a southwest direction, it must have passed over National Road No.2 (a superhighway) during the rush hour. Why hadn't others seen the sky object? Michel learned that a mysterious sky object had crossed the highway, apparently the cause of a rash of engine failures that produced a big traffic jam just south of Dammartin-en-Goele. A number of the motorists had sighted the sky object. Furthermore, west of the highway close to the town of Dreux, some hunters had viewed a "vaguely luminous mass" in the sky moving slowly toward the southwest. 96.

The source "96" is noted: "Michel, Aime. "Flying Saucers in Europe - or Delusions?" Fate, January 1958. pp.74-75."

Explanations:

Map.

Dammartin-en-Goële is 7 km west-northwest of Cuisy. Dreux and Chartres are about 100 km away:

Map.

Aimé Michel has unfortunately poorly documented this observation; he only mentioned it as a confirmation of that of Cuisy, like that of an object next seen near Dreux.

The information is therefore insufficient to allow an accurate assessment of this observation.
